How LayerHop works
LayerHop finds the best route to swap or bridge a token across 70 chains by asking Jupiter, Relay, deBridge, 0x, KyberSwap and LI.FI at once, then lets you sign the winning route in your own wallet.
What LayerHop is
LayerHop is a non-custodial swap and bridge aggregator. It doesn't run its own bridge or hold liquidity. It asks established route providers for quotes, compares them, and hands you a transaction to sign.
It covers 70 chains: 69 EVM networks such as Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum and BNB Chain, plus Solana. You can move between EVM and Solana in one swap.
What happens when you swap
- 1
You choose the route
Pick the token and chain you pay with, the token and chain you want, and an amount.
- 2
LayerHop asks every provider
Each provider that serves both chains (Jupiter, Relay, deBridge, 0x, KyberSwap and LI.FI) is asked for a quote at the same time.
- 3
You compare quotes
The best return is shown first, with the minimum you'll receive, the estimated time and every fee. You can pick a faster route instead.
- 4
You sign in your wallet
The transaction goes from your wallet straight to the provider's contracts. ERC-20 tokens may need an approval first.
- 5
LayerHop tracks delivery
The app follows the order until it's filled on the destination chain. You can look any order up in the Explorer.
What it costs
The LayerHop fee depends on where the swap starts. It's on every quote, as a percentage and as an amount, before you sign.
| Where you swap | LayerHop fee |
|---|---|
| Web app at layerhop.com/swap | 0.30% |
| Embedded widget on a partner site | 0.30% |
| REST API and SDKs | 0.20% |
| Telegram bot @layerhop_bot | 0.90% |
You also pay network gas. Route providers may charge their own fees; LayerHop shows them when the provider reports them. Partner apps can add a fee of their own, shown as a separate line.
Route providers
Each provider is asked only for routes it supports.
| Provider | Same-chain | Cross-chain | Chains listed | Role |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jupiter | Yes | No | 1 | Solana swap aggregator for same-chain Solana swaps. |
| Relay | Yes | Yes | 52 | Cross-chain and same-chain execution from EVM chains, including EVM to Solana. |
| deBridge | No | Yes | 16 | Intent-based cross-chain network (DLN), including Solana to EVM. |
| 0x | Yes | No | 20 | EVM DEX aggregator for same-chain swaps. |
| KyberSwap | Yes | No | 19 | EVM DEX aggregator for same-chain swaps. |
| LI.FI | Yes | Yes | 59 | Bridge and DEX aggregator covering every pair of its chains, including Solana. |
Per-chain coverage is on each chain page. Provider details are in the docs.
Who holds your funds
Nobody but you.
- LayerHop never takes custody of tokens and can't move them for you.
- You review and sign every transaction in your own wallet.
- The Telegram bot, the API and the MCP server never ask for a seed phrase or hold private keys.
- If a cross-chain route can't complete, the provider's refund process applies, usually returning funds on the source chain.
