Draft — not legal advice, to be reviewed by counsel. This template describes how LayerHop works today and is not yet a binding agreement.
Privacy policy
Last updated October 2026 (draft)
This policy explains what information the LayerHop interface (website, widget, API and SDKs) handles and why. We aim to collect as little as possible.
What we don't collect
- We don't create accounts and don't ask for your name, email or ID to use the swap interface.
- We never ask for, receive or store private keys or seed phrases.
- We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add analytics later, we'll update this policy first and ask for consent where the law requires it.
What we process to give you a quote
- Swap details: chains, tokens, amount, slippage, and the sender and recipient wallet addresses. We send these to our API and to the third-party routing providers so they can quote and build your transaction.
- Technical data: like any web service, our servers and hosting providers receive your IP address, browser user agent and request logs. We use them for security, abuse prevention, rate limiting and debugging, and keep them only as long as needed for that.
- Public blockchain data: transactions you sign are recorded on public blockchains. That data is public by design and outside our control.
Storage on your device
The app saves your recent orders (tokens, amounts, transaction hashes and status) in your browser's local storage so you can track them. That data stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can remove it with the Clear button in the history panel or by clearing your browser's site data. Wallet libraries may also store connection preferences locally.
Third parties
Routing providers, wallet software, RPC node providers and block explorers you open from the interface process data under their own privacy policies. Links to block explorers open their sites.
Sanctions screening
To comply with law we may screen wallet addresses against public sanctions lists and restrict access by location.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold. Because we hold very little, most requests can be handled quickly. Contact us at dev@layerhop.com.
Changes
We'll post updates here and change the date at the top.
