LayerHop

Draft — not legal advice, to be reviewed by counsel. This template describes how LayerHop works today and is not yet a binding agreement.

Terms of use

Last updated October 2026 (draft)

These terms cover your use of the LayerHop website, swap interface, embeddable widget, API and SDKs (together, the "Interface"). By using the Interface you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use it.

What LayerHop is

LayerHop is a non-custodial software interface. It requests quotes from third-party routing protocols and aggregators (for example Jupiter, Relay, deBridge, 0x, KyberSwap and LI.FI), shows you the results, and prepares a transaction for the route you choose. You sign and send that transaction from your own wallet, directly to the third party's smart contracts or services.

  • LayerHop never takes custody of your digital assets and cannot move, freeze or recover them.
  • LayerHop does not operate the bridges, liquidity pools, solvers or exchanges that carry out your trade.
  • Those third parties have their own terms, fees, risks and refund processes, and those apply to your trade.

Fees

LayerHop charges a fee on swaps made through the Interface, shown on every quote before you sign. On the web app the fee is currently 0.3% of the amount you send. Fees for partner apps, bots and API integrations can differ and are always shown on the quote. Third-party routes may charge their own fees, and you pay blockchain network fees (gas). Fees already paid on-chain are generally not refundable by LayerHop.

Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for your wallet, private keys and seed phrase. We never ask for them.
  • Check every transaction before you sign it, including tokens, amounts, destination chain and recipient address. Blockchain transactions generally can't be reversed.
  • You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your transactions.
  • You must be of legal age to enter into this agreement where you live.

Prohibited use, sanctions and restricted jurisdictions

You may not use the Interface:

  • if you are, or act for, a person or entity on a sanctions list maintained by the United States (OFAC), the European Union, the United Kingdom or the United Nations;
  • if you are located in, or a resident of, a country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions or where use of the Interface is otherwise prohibited;
  • to launder money, finance terrorism, evade sanctions, or move proceeds of crime;
  • to interfere with, attack or overload the Interface, or to get around access restrictions such as geo-blocking.

We may restrict access, including by location or wallet address, to comply with law.

Risks

  • Digital asset prices are volatile. Quotes are estimates and can change before your transaction lands. Slippage limits protect the minimum you receive on routes that support them.
  • Smart contracts, bridges and blockchains can fail, be exploited, halt or delay. Cross-chain transfers can take longer than estimated.
  • If a route can't complete, any refund is handled by the underlying protocol under its own rules and timing, not by LayerHop.

No warranties

The Interface is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that the Interface will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any quote is the best available anywhere.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LayerHop and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of funds, profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Interface or of any third-party protocol.

Not financial advice

Nothing on the Interface is investment, financial, legal or tax advice.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the Interface after a change means you accept it.
